Presentation Guideline
UR 2024 will take place fully in person. All sessions will be concurrent on the 9th and 10th floors of the Kimmel Center for University Life from June 25 to 26. Presenters are required to make oral or poster presentations, engage in in-depth discussions, and visit exhibit stands. There are two types of presentations: oral and poster.
Oral presentations will be held in rooms #KC 905, #907, #909, #912, and the Rosenthal Pavilion (10F). All rooms designated for oral presentations are equipped with a laptop PC, an LCD projector with an HDMI connector, and a screen. Each oral presenter will have 10 minutes, including 8 minutes for the presentation and 2 minutes for audience questions. Speakers should bring a portable USB with their presentation slides ready. If you prefer to use your own PC, please note that power outlets in the USA mostly operate at 120 volts and 60 Hertz. Your HDMI adapter is required to connect to the LCD projector. Oral presenters are requested to be present 10 minutes before the session starts.
Poster presentations will take place in the Rosenthal Pavilion (10F). The Poster Session includes Work-in-Progress (WIP) papers and Late Breaking Results (LBR) abstracts. Poster presenters should bring a printed poster and display it on a poster board at least one hour before the session begins. The poster should remain in place until the end of the session. Stationery (tack or double-sided tape) will be provided at the registration desk. All materials must be cleared out by 6 pm on the same date. Speakers are responsible for handling their posters. Any posters left after 6 pm will be discarded. The dimensions of the poster board are 152 cm wide x 183 cm high (refer to the picture on your right side). It is recommended that poster presenters prepare their poster materials in A0 size according to their command. You can refer to the Poster Template available here.
If none of the paper authors show up to present their paper on time, even if they have already registered, it will be considered a “no-show paper”. The attendance certificate WILL NOT be sent to no-show attendees, and no-show papers will be excluded from any publications.
